01 / Who Is Tyler Ward
The truth, told well, set to music.
I live in the heart of Nashville, and I have spent most of my life chasing
one simple thing. The truth, told well, set to music.
I am a producer, a songwriter, an artist developer, and along the way I
became what I like to call an accidental landlord. Back when social media
was brand new, I figured out how to reach people directly, before anyone
called it a strategy. That one choice changed everything.
Over the years it grew into more than two billion combined views and streams
as a fully independent artist, and it helped open a door for a whole
generation of creators who wanted to do it their own way.
That same independent path led me to share rooms with people I grew up
admiring, including Jason Derulo, The Beach Boys, Jason Mraz, and Earth,
Wind and Fire. I got to perform my song Yellow Boxes on NBC's Today Show as
their Artist of the Month, which is one of those moments I still have a hard
time believing happened.
But the part I am most proud of is what came next. I built Song House, a
real community for creators, because I know how lonely this road can feel
and I wanted to make a warmer one.
